About FEATool Multiphysics - Developer of FEATool Multiphysics

FEATool Multiphysics has been designed and developed as a reaction to the frustration of having to choose between either very complex and closed industrial computer-aided engineering (CAE) software tools, or open source but even more difficult to use academic simulation codes. The cost of both these options being very high in resources, time, and effort, with essentially nothing in-between.

A truly easy to use simulation platform that anyone can use right away

The basic idea of FEATool then is to provide a truly easy to use engineering and multiphysics simulation platform that anyone can use right away. With the ultimate goal being that the software should be so intuitive and easy, that just playing around with it and having fun should be enough to learn basic use (without having to study any documentation).

Use different physics solvers interchangeably with one-click

Multiphysics Simulation and Applications

In particular, FEATool aims to be a fully integrated, unified, and easy to use simulation platform that allows all kinds of physics solvers and simulation tools to be used interchangeably with “one-click”. Not having to learn the syntax and intricacies of different solvers and tools allows for engineers in industry, and researchers, teachers, and students in academia to get results much easier and faster, while also making physics simulation more accessible to completely new users. For example, FEATool currently features both graphic (GUI) and command-line interfaces to state-of-the-art academic and open source simulation solvers, such as FEniCS, Gmsh, OpenFOAM, and SU2 Code
